Not long to go now!! i'm sooo excited. Jeff went christmas shopping for me yesterday after he had his haircut.... mmmm wonder what he bought me???

i never did a post about our 6 week holiday to america. we had a wonderful time. it was really nice escaping australia's winter for their summer!! we spent our first 2 weeks in florida. we stayed with jeff's grandparents and dad for about a week and then spent nearly another week in sarasota, right on the beach. the beaches were beautiful and the weather was perfect. i wasn't to sure how to handle such high humidity but i survived. i kept thinking how cold it would be back home and that kept me smiling!! we braved ourselves yet again and went parasailing in sarasota. i was so nervous. jeff didn't seemed to phased by it. i think being out in the gulf on a boat freaked me out more than parasailing itself. it was an adventure being so high up behind a boat. such an amazing view of everything. sarasota was a beautiful beach town. we ate at some great restaurants and had plenty of ice cream and walks to the beach... loved that place and hopefully one day we can make it back. the water was warm and spent alot of time relaxing. we left florida and headed up to philadelphia. it was an easy flight, the weather was stormy and our flight was delayed for over an hour but we made it there in one piece. jeff's mom and sister were there waiting for us at the airport and took us to jeanne's apartment in new jersey for the next 10 days. it was a busy time but we fitted in as much as we could!! as you do when your on holidays. uncle butch and aunt carol were lovely people and loved hanging out with them. they made us feel so welcome. we headed to new york city for the day and boy was that an eye opener for me!! so glad i've been now. jeff and i both LOVED NYC and wished we had more time there. i couldn't believe all the lights and such hustle and bustle. we went to the top of the empire state building and took some fantastic photos. the line was huge and security was tight but well worth the wait. we walked down to battery park so we could see the statue of liberty, it was a foggy day so she didn't look very exciting to me. we did some shopping and uncle butch made sure we j-walked while we were there!! he was our tour guide, so much fun!! we went on the new york subway so we could get to downtown, that was an adventure. jeff made sure i didn't stare at anyone and made sure my camera was hidden in my bag!! lots of things to remember in a big city, i'm just a country girl and i'm a tad vague!! anyway we hung out at times square for ages and it was getting dark by this stage so we had the best view. they had to drag me away, loved it so much!! anyway we also went to philly for the day with cheryl and jeanne, that was a totally different atmosphere. seemed a bit rougher. bit more intimidating... had a great day though, checked out the liberty bell and took tons of photos. i took tons of photos of everything. we to the consitution centre and that was ok, a little boring but we made it fun as always. walked around the city and i got to see the l.o.v.e statue, i had seen it on the interent so i was busting to see it for real. jeanne had put on a 'fake' thanksgiving dinner for jeff and i and it was awesome. loved the whole turkey and big dinner thing. family came over and we ate till we were stuffed!! on the saturday night jeff's family had organised a big family party just for us!! there was all jeff's cousins and uncle's and aunt's. it made us feel very special!! it was nice for jeff to see all his family and catch up, it had been a very long time since he'd since most of them. we travelled to ocean city for 4 nights and i've never seen such a long boadwalk right on the beach!! it was massive and busy and full of great shops. we had a motel right on the boadwalk so it was the best location. pretty basic room, didn't even have a phone!! we walked the streets of ocean city trying to find a phone booth that worked, we had no luck... did lots of sunbaking on the beach, spent our days relaxing, playing mini golf, swimming in the ocean and playing arcade games. just having fun together. we had a guy draw a character drawing of us, it was sooo funny... after a lovely break we then travelled to reading PA to stay in a motel for the next 4 nights to hang out with dave!! i found dave to be absoultey hilarious!! jeff and dave together was great, i can see why their such great friends now. we hung out, played ten pin bowling, ate out heaps, went shopping. the boys watched football together. we had lots of laughs, we wished we had longer there to hang out with dave more. it sucked leaving. we had such a nice room, boy it felt good to sleep in a nice big king size bed with a fluffy doona... we slept great those nights:) next stop was 1 more night at jeanne's place before catching a bus back to the airport at some silly hour in the morning. we were getting quite used to all the flights and travelling around on little sleep. we flew to las vegas!! omg, i had been here before 3 years ago but gee it still takes your breath away!! slot machines everywhere at the airport, hahhahaha and people actually playing them!! we stayed at the flamingo, right on the strip on floor 27. had the best room, as we had upgraded to one of there new 'go' rooms and everything was modern and cumfy. big king size bed again, comfy doona and mattress. we loved every minute of it. we arrived and decided we weren't going to sleep for the next 3 nights!! so much to see and do and so little time. we managed to walk the strip and check out EVERY casino!! took us hours but well worth the walking. every casino has a different theme so it was neat to see each one. the paris casino has the fake eiffel tower and there's an observation deck up the top so our first night there we went up to the top and had great views of the whole strip!! got more great photos. saw the water show opposite at the bellagio. it was amazing to watch from up there. we fitted in 2 shows, they were fantastic!! we got dressed up and ate out at a fancy restaurant and walked around at night. the casino next door to ours had $1 margaritas!! so cheap and you can drink anywhere at any time. this place just doesn't stop. we did a helicopter flight over the grand canyon, that was a definate highlight for us. jeff was amazed. we were in the chopper for about an hour and we landed in the canyon and had lunch before taking off again. that was really cool. i got bad motion sickness but i survived:) it was sad to leave vegas, we hung out at the hotel's pool before leaving and went swimming because it was really hot and humid there. we didn't come home with any winnings but were not big on gambling either... we had sooo much fun there. we got expensive room service at 4am, pancakes and margaritas!! such a 24 hour place. i hope we can make it back there one day... well overall we had a great holiday back to america and i'm so happy i got to meet all jeff's family and hopefully one day we'll make it back there.....

Finding Nemo - My 4 year old nephew Caleb should have a good time!! It's at the Rod Laver Arena Melbourne. Mum and I are taking him on July 5th at 11am. He's going to be sooo excited. I hope I can take photos in there.

ok so the flights are finally booked, what a drama that was.

August 9th - We will be arriving at Fort Myers International at 1.10pm and we'll pick up our rental car from the airport and head to Port Charlotte. Staying until August 17th.

August 17th - Driving to Sarasota for 5 nights for plenty of relaxation and good food!

August 22nd - Driving back to Port Charlotte for the next 3 nights before we fly to Philadelphia

August 25th - Leaving Fort Myers for Philly at 2.10pm and arriving there at 4.45pm.

September 4th - Drive to Ocean City for the next 4 nights of beaches and more relaxing times!!

September 8th - Driving straight to Reading were we'll be staying for 4 nights so Jeff can catch up with Dave.

September 12th - 1 last night in New Jersey before we fly to Vegas for 3 nights

September 13th- Vegas baby Vegas

September 16th - 3.15pm fly back to Melbourne

Hello!! As you all know we are planning our trip back to America for this coming August. As soon as our flights are booked (this week) i'll post the dates and our itinerary so you all know what were up to!! We are so excited to come back and see everyone, should be an awesome vacation!!

Jeff and I travelled down the Great Ocean Road for a few days and it was amazing. The views were beautiful and we both loved the water... it was so blue, i could of stared at it all day. we stayed in Port Campbell and did a few day trips from there. It was a nice town, only small but it had everything you needed. We went to Warrnambool for the day and played mini golf, i wasn't to good but Jeff did well!! He was happy with his score anyway. We drove to a Tree Top Walk which was over an hour away but well worth it. It was sooo high, the highest part being 47 meters. Jeff was nervous, so was I...

Well we bought our first Christmas tree the other day and decided to put it up early!! Jacqui being to excited not to. It's only small but we love it. We picked out some decorations together at the store and brought it all home. Here's some pictures -

well were off!! yes that's right, we got tickets and accommodation today for the Australian boxing day cricket match!! it's going to be the best day. i managed to find us accommodation with 500 meters from the MCG, the price was a bit steep but what do you expect when this day is a complete sell out!! most places had a min 5 to 7 night booking and i was starting to loose hope but i didnt give up!! jeff's pretty excited and has asked for 2 days off work and i'll do the same. it starts at 10.30am so we'll have to head off nice and early that morning cos i'm guessing the traffic in the city will be ferral... anyway just wanted to share the news... bye bye

hello everyone!! the sun is shining and there is no wind so it's an awesome day!! i've got the weekend off and plan on making the most of it. jeff came home from work and then left shortly after to train for cricket, the season has come around really quickly. he loves it. i've made him a carrot cake so i hope it's ok! we'll see... our kitty cat millie has settled in nicely and loves sleeping around the house and teasing rolee through the window. she loves bread, jeff will bring bread home from work and if we don't put it straight into the cupboard she'll grab a slice and start eating it, she's crazy. i was weeding the garden this morning and i think rolee loved the company, he wouldn't leave me alone, he decided to lay down where ever i was. he's sunbaking in the sun at the moment. the weather is slowly getting better now were into spring, can't wait for summer though!! jeff bought me a chevel mirror, one of those tall oval timber mirrors for the bedroom, that was my suprise last week, i love it, full length mirror at last!! anyway must be off, don't want to waste this great weather by sitting at the computer... bye bye!!
